It is all created from the Great Spirit,
The Sun, mountains, Mother Ocean,
Ravens in the Sky,
You and me...

A tree that fell crashing to the forest floor, And the deer's skin that now embraces it,
Begin a new journey.

Hold your drum to your ear,
In a private moment
When you want to talk with God,
Then begin to beat
Against the elk and tree
Until their voice fills you

You have created the path with this drum.
 There is a new voice in the world
That is the elk
and the tree
and you
Moving together in the spirit.

The use of a drum in energy work is ancient, natives of many countries have created drums for use in healing and for the pleasure that comes from the beat of a drum.

I have found that the energy and vibration of a drum, reaches deep within your soul, bringing a balance and harmony, unlike any other form of healing.

The beating of a drum is not unlike your own heartbeat.

Putting your own energy into the making of a drum, also awakens and reconnects you with the Earth Spirits.

The Art of Drum Making is a very spiritual experience and in some ways very meditative.

It is a connection between you and the Earth Spirits, a calling to the four directions to bless your creation, so that you might become with your drum and the spirit of the trees and the deers, who are intertwined in your drum.

Although it it is a slow process, it is very fulfilling.

As you weave your web across the back of your drum, you contemplate how your own life is woven, how by straightening and tightening in a focused manner, you can bring life into your drum and harmony into your own life.

When you web is woven then you tie it all together and create a symmetrical pattern.
